The Rohingya in Bangladesh are a stateless Muslim minority group originally from Myanmar’s Rakhine State. Fleeing persecution and violence, especially after a military crackdown in 2017, over 700,000 Rohingya sought refuge in Bangladesh. They now live mainly in overcrowded camps in Cox’s Bazar, which has become the world’s largest refugee settlement. Despite humanitarian aid, they face challenges like limited rights, poor living conditions, and an uncertain future.
