Donated Uniform, Plates and Glasses to a school(Educating Blind Children)

August 2012, we distibuted the uniform, plates and glasses for a school with the blind and under privileged children. This school has significance. Normally, we see people supporting schools of this sort. Seldom have we seen blind people running schools of this sort. This school is one amongst them. It is run by a blind man who is well educated and left his job in order to serve the blind children. But expecting him to take care of the entire children without a hint of support from anyone else is too much for asking. We heard that one of the rice mills nearby is taking care of the food for these children. we did our part by helping them buy uniforms, plates and glasses. A doubt may arise in some your minds, why do blind children need uniforms? Our motto is to make them feel they are one amongst us but not the only one amongst us. Uniform is a common thing in most of the schools. So, why should they be deprived of the right to wear a proper uniform? The reason where Hope is today and all the name and wishes it has got today can be attributed towards you all

Scholarships worth 1,50,000!

Background:
June 2012, We distributed Rs.1,50,000 to 30 students in the form of scholarship which would go towards their intermediate college expenses. The amount is given in the form of Demand Drafts intended to go to their respective colleges to make sure no one spend the money for their personal use. The event went through smoothly without any hurdles with the help of few volunteers who worked hard to make this happen. I really thank them for their effort and time.
I happened to spoke with some of the students and parents of the students who felt really happy about this. Every one has their own story and most of them never received any help from any people in their whole life, Many of them doesn't have even proper clothes to wear, but has strong desire to study hard and improve their standards of living. I really felt bad after hearing their stories and thought how lucky we are to born to the parents who could provide more than what we need. I really felt to do more to them but due to our financial restrictions i couldn't. They really deserve more.

Criteria for Selection:

Marks above 530/600 (might sounds less, i believe they are good enough considering their living standards and quality of education they get and also some of them also has to work to earn for their living) Obviously well under poverty line. Note: I think these two factors are enough to grant a scholarship. Friends we really got so much to do for the betterment of our country, still scope to improve. I need some active participants and try to find more and more people who are interested in the social service. We can do wonders if we have little more financial support.  No personal interests are encouraged.

Donated Water Filter

Background:
April 2012, Hope donated a Water Filter for a small school which provide education for Mentally challenged Children. About the School: This school is very different to a normal school where it provides the following services to the challenged kids. Special Education, Speech Therapy, Early Intervention, Slow Learners Education, Physiotherapy, Parental Counseling, Training on Home Management, Special Focus on Autism. A married couple is running this school. They started this school to support those challenged children, no intention of profit because all the services they provide are free. I felt really happy and shocked when i heard about this school and people who are running this school. Still there exist few people with human values. As for the information i got from others these wonderful couple left their government jobs and started this school on their daughter name. The backend reason is their daughter who is also mentally challenged. As a part of Hope Community i felt so happy and priviliged to sponsor a small water filter for this school. This might be a small one but very effective. Because the location where school is located doesn't have proper drinking water. They took the same thing for officials notice who are very busy in scams and other scandals, doesn't have enough time to serve their need. Because of that they are buying mineral water on daily basis which is proving to be very costly for those middle class couple. So they were looking for some sponsors who could provide them with this little filter which cost around Rs. 16, 250. I am glad they found us and we did sponsor them. This will really save a lot in the long run for them. I would like to thank one of our Hope member who donated most of the money for this cause and instrumental behind this small project. Keep contributing and help ourselves for shaping a better society. In the coming month as i mentioned earlier we are looking forward to sponsor around RS. 1,50,000 as scholarships for poor meritorious children in order to get good Intermediate Education which i think the main part in our educational career. We never know what is hidden in those poor children untill it come out. I will come up with more details for this huge and prestigious project in the coming days.

Hope thank all its volunteers and donors without whom this organization would have been a dream

800 Plates and Glasses Distribution

Background:
February 2012, Schools do have this afternoon meals program going on. But they don't have plates and glasses to eat. So for the time being the children are bringing their own plates and glasses where in most cases the plates are leaves or some papers. Ofcourse this shouldn't be a problem, But as the food served is mostly in liquid form (sambhar, Buttermilk) they are not able to take the food properly. They requested so many people to donate them some plates and glasses for the poor children and they couldn't get any help in return. The good thing is the principle heard about our organization from some mouth talk and came to us for some help. We thought of solving this problem by providing them with some good plates and glasses for taking food. The initial estimate is around Rs.5000-7000. Then we thought of making it big. Instead of distributing for single school we selected few other schools in the different region and distributed almost 800 plates and glasses. 800 students got benefited from this project.

Blankets Distributedd to Homeless Senior Citizens

May 2011, Hope found some old, poor and homeless citizens sleeping on roads, footpaths and under trees. We know we can't solve their problem permanently, but thought to reduce it by a inch by donating blankets to the homeless which would help to protect them from cold and rain.

Money Donated for a mother's operation

Hi friends, I once Initial Idea NEED HELP: One of my friend's mother is suffering from blood cancer and he lost his dad in his child hood, he's my college comp SC student now persuing Mtech in IIT Madras, He's badly need of money and I want to support him and be responsible for entire thing. For that I require support from all of you, mostly financially. Can you let me know is it possible to donate our hope fund to my cause, ( this is my request, and you please move according to your possibility). He requires totally 8 lacs for operation, he'll be getting 2 lacs from govt policies and rest need to be paid by ourselves. The operation is going to take place in 15 days. Benches Donated to a government college

Initial Idea We have thought of conducting a workshop in a village. We happened to speak with some doctors who were kind enough to dedicate one whole day for it. The main idea of it is to do some general check up, and basic test like sugar, blood pressue, blood, urine test etc. and provide them with some free basic medication. But to make that practically happen we need some 1-2 lakh rupees which we can't afford at this point but try it for the next time. For this month we have ordered 20 (5 seater benches) for the intermediate students of government intermediate college. Each bench is going to cost us around 2500 because of the wood and especially iron. So for the last three months we are collecting money for this because the total may go upto Rs. 50000. For now i had Rs.28946 with me and i hope we will reach there by next month. Thanks for all your continuous support and belief in us. i will come up with the invoice and expenses sheet within next month when we are done with the order. You can find the PHOTOS and DOCUMENTS of the related work. Final Work As i told we finally completed our first big project. It took more time than initially thought because of some problems which we can't control. Finally work is done. We had donated 20 benches to a government college which can accomodate atleast 100 students. There were so happy for what we did to them, and still they got some more problems to address like drinking water, toilet facilities for girl students. I gave them my word on behalf of all of us that we would definetly come back to sort out their problems. The college principle was very happy as he was looking for some donors for the last few years, Now he is very confident to say his students can better concentrate on education because of the added comfort. He also added it is very tough for students to always look upto the blackboard which caused some neck problems for few students in the past. My Word: I am very proud to be part of this organization and i am sure you feel the same. I am very thankful for all your support, and think we are going in the right direction. we took one more step towards our target. I also want to say without even anyone of your contribution it wouldn't have been possible. So keep contributing and make this happen.

Benches Donated to a government school

Initial Idea: This time also, again we are focusing on two different schools and a woman. I happened to talk with two principals. For first school: We are planning to provide benches and science lab equipment for a higher secondary school in a village. I would come up with more specific details in the coming weeks. For this project the initial estimate would be around Rs.45,000 provided there could be some late changes. For Second school: This was a small project, but interesting. They do have this afternoon meals program going on. But they don't have plates and glasses to eat. So for the time being the children are bringing their own plates and glasses where in most cases the plates are leaves or some papers. Ofcourse this shouldn't be a problem, But as the food served is mostly in liquid form (sambhar, Buttermilk) they are not able to take the food stomach fully. I will come up with more specific details in the coming weeks. I really felt happy when i heard from the principal (who travelled some 100 miles to meet us) that he heard about us from a villager whose child got benefitted from us before. I replied him that we as an organization don't need any recongnition because we do the same service even though people recognize or don't recognize our services. We are not expecting anything in return except their wishes and blessings. For Woman: She was the wife of a retired honest government officer whose track record speaks for him. She is suffering from Neural Disorder which need some serious medication. He approached us for help. We thought of donating Rs. 15000 which might not solve the problem completely but definetly make her better. Guys we don't need any appraisals for what we are doing, after all we are serving our own country. As a part of this month project as we mentioned earlier we donated Rs.15100 to woman (w/o retired honest Government employee) suffering from Neural disorder. We can see in the pictures how bad her situation is? The amount we donated cannot end her problem but definitely going to be som...e help to better her situation. We all hope she recover soon. Note: He is not a relative to any of the Hope members and Hope doesn't function according to one's personal agenda. Come up with other details in coming weeks
